Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah Collee of Engineering (BMSCE), Bangalore was founded by Late Sri. Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah, a philanthropist, in 1946 at Bangalore. It was the first private engineering college in India at that time.
BMSCE is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, Karnataka and is accredited to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. BMSCE is also the only partner university of the Melton Foundation from India. 1 st and 2 nd year students from BMSCE can apply for Melton Fellowship. BMSCE is also a Technical Education Quality Improvement Project (TEQIP) Phase I and Phase II Institute. TEQIP is a project by World Bank with an objective of enhancing the quality and ensuring equity in participating in engineering education institutes.

The mission of BMSCE is to Accomplish Excellence in the field of Technical Education through Education, Research and Service needs of society. Location and Area BMSCE is located in the vibrant and beautiful city which is also called the ‘Silicon Valley of India’, Bangalore. It is about 5 kilometers away from the Central Railway Station, Bangalore. The area taken up by the campus is 15 Acres with a built-up area of 62,068 square meters.
