KIIT makes it to THE World University Rankings 2019

KIIT Deemed University has made it to the Times Higher Education global university rankings for 2019 published on September 26, 2018. Making an impressive debut, the University has secured an impressive position in 1,001+ category. KIIT is the only self-financing University in Eastern India to enter the ranking league. Despite being a new university, it has managed to get a place in the coveted ranking.
Expressing happiness over this achievement, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said, “This achievement has been possible due to the blessings of the Almighty coupled with the hard work and relentless efforts of the staff and students.”
The university commenced its operation in a rented house with just Rs. 5000. Now, it has a global recognition and is placed among the top 1001+ universities of the world. “I congratulate all the staff, student and well-wishers and hope they would keep up the good work as sky is the limit”, he stated. He also expressed his gratitude to the Central and State Government. KIIT would be able to significantly better its performance in the coming years, Prof. Samanta hoped.
KIIT is just twenty years old as an institution for professional education (1997) and 14 years old as a University (2004). But, despite being a very young university, it has got a place in this prestigious ranking. A few well-known and old deemed universities from south India have found place in the report, while KIIT has got the same success with similar position.
